2019 - 2020 Midget Playoff Format

PLAYOFF FORMAT:

ROUND 1        FEBRUARY  15  -  24

• Best of 3 games
• Top team gets a bye
• Highest ranking team then gets to choose an opponent from bottom 3 ranked teams.  (The 2nd place team chooses opponent, 3rd place team chooses an opponent and the remaining two teams playoff.)

ROUND 2        FEBRUARY  25  -  MARCH  2

• Best of 3 games
• Playoffs will be seeded from the top 2 teams + 2 winners from Round 1

FINAL ROUND          MARCH  3  -  15

• Best of 5 games
• Neutral Refs will be used.

OVERTIME TIE-BREAKER RULES FOR PLAY-OFF GAMES:

4. a) 15 minutes of 4 on 4.
5. b) If still tied; shoot-out (Each team names three shooters. If the game remains tied after the three shooters are done, teams continue shooting in “sudden death” mode. Teams may not use the same shooter more than once).
6. c) In the final playoff round SHA overtime playoff format will be followed.
