U11 - Kent Stenson

League had 12 teams this year, all games were played by the end date with very few games being rescheduled.  No issues brought to the Commissioner's attention re: U11, was asked for input re: some U13 incidents.  Shaunavon Badgers finished first and hosted the League A pool 4 team tournament March 19th.

- Game 1 Shaunavon over SC Ice Wolves 5-2

- Game 2 Maple Creek over SC Rangers 6-4

- Game 4 Shaunavon over Maple Creek 9-6; making Shaunavon league champions

Pool B - SC Bandits, SC Mavericks, SC Outlaws, Eastend/Frontier

- Game 1 SC Bandits over Eastend/Frontier 11-1

- Game 2 SC Outlaws over SC Mavericks 9-6

- Game 3 SC Mavericks over Eastend/Frontier 10-9

- Game 4 SC Bandits over SC Outlaws 10-8

U13 - Blaine Schwab

U-13 had a successful year.  12 teams in league, 8 made playoffs and had great rounds all the way through with the final being played between Cabri and Gravelbourg/Mossbank.   Great series between these 2 teams going to a 3rd game and Cabri coming out as U-13 champs.  Couple things from the year; Coaches need to be approved on the Sask hockey roster to be eligible to be on the bench.  Had 2 suspensions of 30 days for head coaches that had coaches that weren’t on roster.
Live barn; had so many teams send clips from live barn. Most rinks have this in arenas in the league.  It needs to be used for people to watch games not for managers sending in this and that trying to get kids suspended.  We as commissioners are not here to ref hockey games after the fact.  We as a league need to protect the refs or we won’t have any.

U15 - Mike Dudley

- The 2022/23 season went pretty smooth overall. The teams and their management/ coaches were all great to work with. It was a competitive season that ended up pitting Shaunavon against Wood River in the league championship. Shaunavon came out victorious in the matchup. There was a total of 82 regular season games and 19 playoff games. Suspension wise, there were 14 suspensions issued total with only 1 coaching suspension carrying over into next year.

U18 - Dave Gavelin

Successful year with only a few minor hiccups.  The league was very competitive from top to bottom.  Wood River defeated Assiniboia in the final.  Suspensions totalled 26 games spread over 11 players and 3 games from 2 coaches.  Biggest concern is a shortage of officials.  We lost 2 top 17-18 year-old officials due to them being tired of the abuse from coaches and some of our senior officials have said they are losing their patience and will start tossing coaches.
