PRESIDENT REPORT - WAYNE GIRODAT

Welcome to the start of the 2018 - 2019 Southwest Saskatchewan Hockey League.  Thanks to everyone for coming out tonight.  I am very happy as to how well the League has been run.  One of my goals this year is to improve the website and the access to the minutes, constitution and all  TEAM contact information.  Have a great year!

SHA - GREG HAUBRICH

Thank you to everyone and all the executives and the countless volunteers.  If anybody has any concerns at any time during the season feel free to contact me and I will try to assist you.

REFEREE - TIM  TISDALE

Tim will be available if anyone should have any issues or needs clarification.  For Atom and up, you should be running the 4 man system.  Always 2 refs and 2 linesman.  Some Centers may modify it and run 2 refs and 1 linesman.  The 2 ref system could be difficult in some communities as it is hard at times to find refs available.

OLD BUSINESS

The president just wanted to remind everyone about respecting the officials and the rules/policies in other community rinks.  They also are trying to improve teaching techniques to the officials by using videos, knowing the rules and how to apply them.  Remember RESPECT.

NEW BUSINESS

  1. ** Correspondence was received from Coronach and Frontier in regards that they   have no teams, so they would not be attending the meeting.  No notice was received by Fox Valley and Pontiex in regards to their absence.
