Hotly Contested Bantam Division sees Wood River emerge as Regular Season Champions.

It was an exciting finish to the 2016- 17 South West Saskatchewan Hockey League Bantam Division as the Wood River Bantams captured regular season honours with a record of 15- wins, 4- losses and 1- tie for a total of 31 points. Wood River edged out the Maple Creek Bantams by a mere 1 point as Maple Creek closed out the regular season with a record of 15- wins and 5- losses for a total of 30 points.

In the opening round of the Bantam playoffs, the Wood River Bantams will face the 8th place Swift Current Canucks while 2nd place Maple Creek takes on the Swift Current Blades.

In other Bantam playoff action, 3rd place Swift Current Eliminators take on the 6th place Frontier Bantam Flyers and 4th place Swift Current Capitals have the home ice advantage in a series with the 5th place Shaunavon Bantams.

The first round of the playoffs is a best 2 of 3 series and all game must be completed by March 4th.
