5. President Report
- Dave Gavelin will fulfill the President role for Gravelbourg. Nothing to report
6. Commissioner Reports -
- U11 (Mossbank) Rob Rutko, nothing to report
- U13 (Kincaid) Gaetan Girardin, nothing to report
- U15 (Glentworth) Cole Labbee, nothing to report
- U18 (Cabri) Neil Block - brought up the issue of forfeits and that teams need to take it seriously due to the impact on small towns, the rinks. Remind teams there is a fine for forfeits and travelling teams having to pay ice & ref costs, added to new business
7. New Business
1) Scheduling meeting dates -
- ice times to be sent to Tracey Stenson no less than 2 days prior to the scheduling meeting (minimum of 20 ice times per team).
- Associations wanting flexibility with scheduling to schedule home games on the same day due to reffing challenges and coordinate away games due to travel.
- Online scheduling program has a cost, used last year as a trial by the creator and Tracey Stenson for a reduced fee.
- Motion for in-person scheduling meetings, will follow the scheduling format but allow teams the opportunity to make changes (agreed upon) after the picks are done and prior to schedules being finalized and sent to the website.

2) Forfeits - motion to increase fine to $1000 (SSHL rule 6c) (motion: Mossbank, second: Maple Creek, carried)
3) Ian Schafer, Hockey Sask - Grassroots Officiating rep for southwest
- discussion about implementing Green arm band initiative for referees under 16 and impact on maltreatment sanctions (double) for incidents with those officials -Officiating clinic dates are posted on the website: https://hockeysask.ca/officials
4) Overage Player Requests - for review by the executive following the AGM
- Herbert U13 - application submitted - approved by Executive
8. Old Business
1) Scholarship for U18 Graduating members
- $500 scholarship towards post-secondary education for a graduating U18 player in SSHL. Was to be awarded for the 2023-24 season, there were no applications.
- Gravelbourg proposed the scholarship be named after Vinny Pinnsoneault who was a U18 player that passed away in June 2023.
5) Fines and Memberships
- regrets were sent from Central Butte for the Fall AGM. According to the Constitution, Central Butte’s bond will be absorbed; they will be removed from the league and need to apply to be reinstated.

- regrets were sent from Frontier, it was noted that their bond was absorbed previous season so they will need to be reinstated and pay the bond. Motion to reinstate Frontier and add them back to the executive rotation.
